Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Training Manager specializing in Computer Systems to lead our training initiatives and ensure our teams are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles. In this position, you will design and implement comprehensive training programs, utilizing your expertise in computer systems to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute training strategies and programs tailored to the needs of technical teams, focusing on computer systems and related technologies.
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and discussions with management to identify skill gaps and knowledge requirements.
- Create engaging training materials, including manuals, online courses, and interactive sessions, leveraging various multimedia tools and technologies.
- Deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars, ensuring content is relevant, engaging, and aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, continuously refining and enhancing the curriculum.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure training content is up-to-date and reflects current industry standards and best practices.
- Maintain training records and documentation, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in training, instructional design, or related fields, with a focus on technical subjects.
- Strong understanding of computer systems and technologies, with the ability to translate complex concepts into understandable training content.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs and materials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Certifications in instructional design or training (e.g., ATD, CPTD) are a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in computer systems, networks, and software applications.
- Familiarity with training technologies and tools, including authoring software and virtual training platforms.
- Experience with data analysis tools to measure training effectiveness and learner progress.
