Responsibilities

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited residency in General Surgery
- Fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery
- Board certification in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery
- A minimum of 10 years of clinical experience with a significant focus on colorectal surgery
- Proven track record of leadership and management within a surgical department
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Preferred:
- Experience in academic settings with a focus on education and mentorship
- Active involvement in clinical research and publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery
