Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Pilot for our Charter Operations team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing all flight operations, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. You'll play a critical role in managing our flight crews, developing operational procedures, and fostering a safety-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of Charter Operations, including flight planning, crew scheduling, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations to maintain the highest levels of safety and operational efficiency.
- Oversee pilot training programs, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives for flight crews.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure the airworthiness of all aircraft and oversee pre-flight inspections.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with FAA regulations.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational capabilities and improve customer service.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pilot in a charter or commercial aviation environment, with a current ATP certificate.
- Proven leadership experience managing flight operations and teams of pilots.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and safety protocols.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with crew members, management, and clients.
Preferred:
- Experience with Part 135 operations and a background in flight training.
- Master’s degree in aviation management or a related field.
- Previous experience with operational oversight in a growing charter company.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in flight planning software and aviation management systems.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, performance, and maintenance requirements.
- Experience with safety management systems (SMS) and risk assessment methodologies.
