Role Overview
We are looking for a Canvassing Manager to lead our grassroots outreach efforts and drive community engagement initiatives that align with our mission. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing canvassing strategies, managing a team of canvassers, and ensuring effective communication of our brand's values and objectives within the community.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive canvassing strategies to enhance community outreach and engagement
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of canvassers, providing ongoing support and guidance
- Establish measurable goals and track performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of canvassing efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align canvassing initiatives with overall organizational objectives
- Develop training materials and resources to ensure canvassers are well-informed and can effectively communicate our mission
- Conduct regular field visits to assess team performance and provide constructive feedback
- Analyze data and generate reports to inform strategic decision-making and improve outreach strategies
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in community organizing, outreach, or canvassing roles with a proven track record of success
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating diverse teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information simply and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic outreach plans
Preferred:
- Experience in political campaign management or nonprofit sector outreach
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and methods for measuring outreach effectiveness
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in CRM software and data management tools to track outreach efforts
- Experience with digital communication platforms and social media for community engagement
- Knowledge of outreach analytics and reporting methods to assess impact
