Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Boiler Inspection Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to conduct thorough inspections of boilers and pressure vessels, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Your contributions will be critical in maintaining operational safety and reliability across various facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections of boilers and pressure vessels to assess their condition and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Analyze inspection findings and prepare detailed reports outlining recommendations for repairs, replacements, or maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop and implement corrective action plans based on inspection results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to boiler inspections and safety protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams regarding boiler systems and inspection processes.
- Participate in training and mentoring programs for junior inspectors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience as a Boiler Inspection Specialist or in a related field, with a strong understanding of boiler systems and regulations.
- Valid certification as a Boiler Inspector from a recognized authority.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and assess potential safety hazards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information.
Preferred:
- Experience with advanced inspection techniques, such as ultrasonic testing or radiographic testing.
- Familiarity with various boiler types and configurations, including industrial and commercial systems.
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent technical training.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of boiler codes and standards, such as ASME, NFPA, and API.
- Proficiency in inspection tools and technologies, including pressure gauges, ultrasonic thickness gauges, and radiographic equipment.
- Experience with data analysis software and reporting tools to document and track inspection findings.
