Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Master Automotive Specialty Technician to join our innovative team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive automotive knowledge to diagnose complex vehicle issues, perform advanced repairs, and contribute to the development of best practices in automotive service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues accurately
- Perform high-level repairs and maintenance on various automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and drivability issues
- Mentor and train junior technicians, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate with service advisors to provide clear communication regarding repair needs and processes
- Document repairs and maintain accurate records, adhering to company standards for quality and safety
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and industry trends to enhance service delivery
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician with a focus on advanced diagnostics and specialty repairs
- Master ASE certification or equivalent recognized certifications in automotive specialties
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex automotive systems
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electronics and diagnostic equipment
Preferred:
- Experience working in a high-volume shop environment
- Additional certifications in hybrid or electric vehicles
- Familiarity with automotive repair software and systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in utilizing diagnostic tools such as scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in repair procedures for various vehicle makes and models
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnostics
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues to non-technical customers
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities, contributing positively to a diverse work environment
