Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Manager to lead our emergency medical response operations. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality emergency medical services, ensuring compliance with industry standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of EMS operations
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing emergency medical services
- Manage budgetary planning and resource allocation to optimize service delivery
- Lead and mentor a team of EMS personnel, providing guidance on best practices and professional development
- Establish and maintain effective communication with local healthcare facilities and emergency management agencies
- Analyze data to identify trends and implement improvements in patient care and operational performance
- Conduct regular training and evaluation of EMS staff to ensure readiness and competency in emergency response
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in emergency medical services, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role
- Current certification as a paramedic or EMT
- Strong knowledge of EMS regulations, protocols, and best practices
- Proven ability to manage budgets and personnel effectively
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public safety, or related field
- Experience with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives in EMS
- Advanced certifications such as NREMT or equivalent
- Familiarity with electronic patient care reporting systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
