Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Aix Systems Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Aix-based systems architecture, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that meet our customers' evolving needs.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop innovative Aix systems solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive system analysis to identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, and performance enhancement.
- Lead the deployment and configuration of Aix environments, ensuring adherence to best practices and security guidelines.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Design and implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to proactively address issues.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in systems architecture with a focus on Aix environments.
- Strong understanding of Aix operating systems, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl for automation and systems management.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing highly available and scalable systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud technologies and virtualization platforms (e.g., AWS, VMware).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Relevant certifications in Aix systems or cloud architecture.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of Aix operating system internals and architecture.
- Proficiency in performance analysis tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of network protocols and security best practices.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
