Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Airside Transport Manager to oversee and optimize our airside transportation operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and efficient movement of aircraft, cargo, and personnel while maintaining safety and compliance with aviation regulations. You will have the responsibility to implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day airside transport operations, including the coordination of ground handling, refueling, and maintenance activities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize transportation schedules and enhance resource allocation.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of airside operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead training initiatives to ensure staff are well-versed in safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for operational enhancements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in airside operations or transport management within the aviation industry.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards.
- Proven experience in managing teams and leading operational improvement initiatives.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with aviation transportation management systems and software.
- Certification in aviation safety management or similar credentials.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and aviation software tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
