Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft De-Icer Installation Supervisor to lead our team in the installation and maintenance of aircraft de-icing systems. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet during winter operations, providing oversight and expertise in the installation process while managing a team of technicians to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete installation process of aircraft de-icer systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of installation technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of de-icing systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop and implement installation procedures, best practices, and training programs to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to de-icing systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities, reporting findings and recommendations to management.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a focus on de-icing systems or related technologies.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly in high-pressure environments.
Preferred:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with project management and installation of specialized aircraft systems.
- Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems related to de-icing technology.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in aircraft de-icing systems, including but not limited to thermal and pneumatic de-icing technologies.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methodologies relevant to aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and maintenance manuals.
