Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to lead our Acoustical Ceiling Installation team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of installation projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership will be crucial in managing crew performance and maintaining safety protocols while delivering exceptional results for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the acoustical ceiling installation team, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
- Conduct site assessments to determine project requirements and establish work plans.
- Lead crew meetings to discuss project progress, safety procedures, and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and enforce safety protocols among crew members.
- Provide hands-on guidance and training to crew members in installation techniques and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to provide updates and address concerns.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and conduct necessary repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, and inventory logs.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in acoustical ceiling installation or a similar construction field.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of acoustical ceiling systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- OSHA certification or relevant safety training.
Preferred:
- Experience in a foreman or supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to acoustical installations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with installation tools and equipment specific to acoustical ceilings.
- Understanding of layout and framing techniques.
- Proficient in using measuring and leveling instruments.
