Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to oversee our accounting functions and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. In this strategic leadership role, you will collaborate closely with executive management to drive financial performance and uphold compliance with regulatory standards, while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the finance team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting.
- Manage the organization’s budget process, providing insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and financial performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support audits and ensure a smooth audit process.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, promoting professional development and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.
- Proven track record of managing financial operations in a complex organization.
- CPA certification is required.
Preferred:
- Experience in a publicly traded company or a large multinational corporation.
- Familiarity with financial software systems and ERP implementations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
