About YWCA Tri-County Area (YW3CA)

We are YWCA Tri-County Area, and we are on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Founded in 1908, we have been serving the communities of Montgomery, Chester, and Berks counties in Pennsylvania for over a century. We believe in a world that holds equal promise for every person, and we work tirelessly to dismantle the barriers that hold women, girls, and people of color back.

Our work is rooted in education, empowerment, and advocacy. We provide high-quality early childhood education to give every child a strong start, ensuring they have the tools to thrive emotionally and academically. For adults, we offer comprehensive education and workforce development programs, including English as a Second Language classes and high school equivalency preparation, to help individuals build the skills they need to succeed in a competitive job market.

Beyond the classroom, we are a voice for change. We advocate for racial and social justice, lead community discussions on diversity, and provide trauma-responsive care to those in need. We also operate the Dignity Kitchen, a social enterprise providing nutritious meals to the community. We are more than just an organization; we are a movement. We get up and do the work until injustice is rooted out, until institutions are transformed, and until the world sees women, girls, and people of color the way we do: Equal. Powerful. Unstoppable.
