We are seeking a Data Engineer to support our projects in strengthening our data platform and contributing to the high reliability and performance of our data systems.
As a Data Engineer, you’ll be part of a cross-functional data team responsible for managing, optimizing, and evolving our data infrastructure. You’ll work with BigQuery, PostgresDB, Microsoft SQL, and support real-time financial data operations, regulatory reporting, product analytics, and fraud monitoring systems.
This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of SQL, strong data modeling instincts, and hands-on experience in database tuning within regulated or data-intensive environments.
Responsibilities:
BigQuery Development & Analytics Enablement
-Design and maintain BigQuery datasets, ensuring their scalability and query performance for analytics and reporting within the Data Warehouse scope.
-Develop robust SQL queries using advanced features: window functions, joins, CTEs, and aggregations.
-Support data modeling for internal dashboards, regulatory reports, and risk analysis
Collaboration & Automation
-Work with DataOps and backend engineering to support ETL pipelines
-Integrate BigQuery with external services for reporting and compliance
-Document data models, policies, and standards
Qualifications:
-4+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL
-Strong proficiency in Google BigQuery, PostgresDB andMicrosoft SQL
-Proficiency in writing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries
-Strong hands-on experience with Google Analytics tools, such as Looker, for data visualization and reporting.
-Experience working in data-sensitive environments (e.g., financial services, payments, banking)
-Fluency in English and Russian
Nice to have:
-Exposure to GCP
-Familiarity with Kafka or dbt
-Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
