IT Network Manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise networking, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco-based network technologies including ACI, SD-WAN, Firewalls, and Wireless.
  • Experience managing cloud networking integrations (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and lead contract negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience engaging senior leadership and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are a plus but not required.
  • Experience working in logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environments with warehouse-scale wireless.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, project management frameworks, and network automation.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic IT Network Manager to lead and grow a high-performing team responsible for the organization’s enterprise network infrastructure that spans more than 50 sites, including 5 million square feet of warehouse locations. This role will focus on leading and developing your team of engineers, shaping the strategic vision for the team, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will combine deep experience in networking services and cloud integration with a strong ability to develop talent, manage vendors, prioritize business needs, and foster cross-functional relationships across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of network engineers, focusing on individual growth, team cohesion, and high performance.
  • Develop and implement clear career paths, skill development plans, and succession strategies for the network team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational ownership.

Strategic Planning & Prioritization

  • Define and execute the strategic direction of the enterprise network, aligning infrastructure capabilities with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to prioritize efforts that provide the highest value.
  • Translate technical needs into clear, actionable roadmaps for the team and organization.

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build strong partnerships across business units to understand evolving requirements and ensure network solutions meet operational demands.
  • Serve as the voice of the network function in cross-departmental forums, initiatives, and planning sessions.
  • Communicate network health, roadmaps, and risk mitigations effectively to executive and non-technical audiences.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage strategic vendor relationships, ensuring delivery of high-quality services and adherence to SLAs.
  • Support contract negotiations for network services, licensing, and hardware procurement with an eye on performance, cost efficiency, and scalability.
  • Evaluate and manage third-party service providers to ensure alignment with technical and strategic goals.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee key technologies including Cisco ACI (data center), Cisco SD-WAN, large-scale wireless deployments (warehouse environments), Cisco Firewalls, ISE, F5 and Infoblox DNS/DHCP systems.
  • Ensure cloud network integrations are scalable, secure, and reliable across hybrid environments.
  • Maintain strong operational metrics, incident response capabilities, and business continuity readiness.
