The Course Writer position is offered via independent contracts per unit of competency and will assist the Institute of Allied Health to develop of learning and assessment materials for the Certificate III in Individualised Support, Certificate IV in Disability Support and Certificate IV in Ageing Support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaise with content/industry specialists involved in course development.
- Conduct research for learning materials as required.
- Develop and review core learning and assessment materials including written workbooks, assessment activities, facilitator (answer) guides and books of readings.
- Proof all workbooks and books of readings for formatting, educational and grammatical correctness.
- Write and update mapping guides as required.
- Relevant qualifications in aged care, disability support or a related field such as community services or nursing.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience (voluntary or paid) in an aged care, disability support, home/community care context.
- Course development experience (preferably in the Vocational Education Sector).
- Well-developed communication skills.
- Good level of computer literacy.
