Course Content Developer - Master of Management (MMgmt)
Location: Remote - Anywhere in NZ (Auckland preferred)

We are seeking two experienced contractors to support the design and development of the Master of Management (MMgmt) programme. This postgraduate qualification will focus on contemporary management practices, digital transformation, and sustainable business, preparing graduates to thrive in diverse professional contexts.
As the programme is being developed for a wide range of domestic and international ākonga, we require contractors who bring strong subject-matter expertise and curriculum design experience to ensure content, assessments, and research projects are both academically rigorous and industry-relevant.
This contract engagement will be 20 hours a week for a duration of 4 months. Work will be remote but there is a preference for Auckland based candidates.
Roles and Responsibilities
Curriculum Development
- Contribute to the design of courses, learning materials, and teaching resources.
- Develop engaging content that reflects current management, leadership, and digital innovation practices.
- Ensure learning activities are inclusive, flexible, and culturally responsive.
- Collaborate on the integration of sustainability and ESG principles across the programme.
Assessment & Research Project
- Design assessments, marking guides, and rubrics that encourage applied critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Support the development of frameworks for industry-based research projects.
- Provide academic input into ensuring postgraduate-level standards are met.
- Align assessments with programme learning outcomes and GPOs.

- Fundamentals of Financial Management
- The New Zealand Social and Political Environment
- Project Management
- Organisational Resilience and Risk Management
- Global Leadership and Cross-Cultural Management
- Sustainable Business Management
Expertise Required
- Strong background in management, business administration, or related fields.
- Doctoral qualification in Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Applicants with a Master’s degree (Level 9) and significant curriculum/assessment development experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience in curriculum design and/or assessment development at postgraduate level.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and blended/online pedagogy.
- Ability to produce research-informed, industry-relevant materials.
- Commitment to Te Ao Māori and to embedding cultural inclusiveness in learning and assessment
