The Senior Manager, Technical is responsible for supporting all aspects of implementation of ART’s processes and TREES. This role provides advanced technical expertise and support for jurisdictional GHG accounting and REDD+ program assessment.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Carbon Accounting, Remote Sensing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in REDD+ / forest carbon, voluntary or compliance carbon markets, and/or remote sensing and forest measurement.
  • Familiarity with REDD+ accounting and quantification methods, fundamental greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting principles, and verification and auditing standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint, is required.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Fluency in one or more additional languages is an asset, especially Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French.
