Description
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Medical Virtual Assistant to support a psychiatric and mental health practice providing care in Florida. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, professional in communication, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The Medical Virtual Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by assisting with administrative and patient coordination tasks. The ideal candidate is quick on their feet, detail-oriented, productive during downtime, and comfortable wearing different hats as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound phone calls, including answering and routing calls through the business line
- Handle and organize email communications
- Manage provider calendars, appointments, and scheduling coordination
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-ups
- Assist with insurance verifications and eligibility checks
- Process prior authorizations as needed
- Support patient care coordination and administrative workflows
- Maintain accurate and organized records
- Perform additional delegated administrative tasks
- Possibly provide basic social media support and content creation when needed
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant
- Previous experience in a healthcare or medical administrative role
- Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations
- Experience working in a mental health or psychiatric practice is a plus
- Proficiency with behavioral health platforms such as Grow Therapy, Headway, and Tebra is a plus
- Experience providing basic social media support or content creation is a plus
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and processes
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to multitask effectively
- Must be dependable, productive, and able to work independently

Basic requirements
- Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
- Must have relevant work experience
- Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory]
- Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
