Accounting Manager (For Pooling)
- Reporting Support: Prepare parts of monthly/quarterly financial reports (variance analyses, account reconciliations) for review.
- Budgeting Assistance: Help coordinate budget inputs and track budget vs actuals for assigned departments.
- Accounting Supervision: Oversee day-to-day accounting transactions in the absence of the manager, ensuring accuracy.
- Process Review: Identify discrepancies or inefficiencies in financial processes and propose improvements.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that accounting practices comply with standards and assist with the implementation of any changes.
- Financial Reporting: Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) on schedule
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budget and periodic forecast processes; analyze budget variances and provide insights to management
- Team Management: Supervise accounting staff (AP, AR, general accountants); ensure roles are clearly defined and deadlines met.
- Compliance & Controls: Maintain robust internal controls, oversee tax and audit processes to ensure legal compliance.
- Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and assist in working capital planning.
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop financial goals, policies, and processes aligned with corporate strategy. Advise the executive team on financial implications of business decisions
- Financial Governance: Ensure accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting framework; present financial results and analysis to senior management and board.
- Capital Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation; manage relationships with banks, investors, and auditors.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead the finance team, including controllers, analysts, and accounting managers, fostering professional development.
- Risk & Compliance: Manage corporate risk (insurance, policies) and ensure regulatory compliance across all financial areas.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year proven experience as a Accounting Manager with international clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field (CPA license preferred; required for senior roles).
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) considered an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar ERP).
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting standards, and internal control frameworks
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Proven ability to lead and develop accounting/finance teams.
- Tech savvy & familiar with current technologies, like desktop sharing, cloud services, and VoIP
- Experience with word-processing software and spreadsheets (e.g., MS Office)
- Knowledge of online calendars and scheduling (e.g., Google Calendar)
- Proactive attitude
- Able to work on a graveyard shift
