The team emphasizes disciplined program execution, clarity, risk mitigation, and process optimization to ensure successful outcomes and sustained system reliability across multiple initiatives.
Summary
The Director, Software Engineering – Payroll Modernization leads the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives. This role oversees architecture, coding standards, testing strategies, and deployment pipelines to ensure high-quality, secure, and efficient products. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the director drives continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and innovation while managing resources and stakeholder expectations. By fostering technical excellence and operational discipline, this position supports the achievement of strategic goals and promotes a culture of accountability, performance, and sustainable growth within the engineering organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable software architectures aligned with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
- Oversee requirement analysis, risk assessment, and solution scoping to ensure alignment with customer needs and technical feasibility.
- Guide teams in coding standards, secure development practices, and deployment pipelines to maintain high-quality software delivery.
- Manage program metrics, continuous integration, and deployment processes to optimize operational efficiency and product performance.
- Drive defect management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to enhance software reliability and usability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and deliver technology solutions that support business growth.
- Extensive experience in software engineering leadership, including managing scalable distributed systems and software architecture design.
- Proven ability to analyze and translate complex business and technical requirements into functional, modular software solutions.
- Strong expertise in agile methodologies, including scoping, user story creation, and iterative development.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, telemetry, and automation to enhance software delivery and quality.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration to align technology roadmaps with business objectives.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, coding standards, and security best practices to ensure robust and secure software products.

The annual salary range for this position is $156,000.00 - $312,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...
