About the Role

We are now looking for a DevOps Engineer reporting to Back-End Lead to help us manage our technical infrastructure. If you're passionate about shaping the future of web3 and want to be part of a dynamic team driving innovation in the crypto space, we want to hear from you.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, primarily using AWS and Terraform. You will also explore and integrate a multi-cloud strategy and manage bare metal providers for specific workloads, to help optimize costs in bandwidth and compute. You will ensure our infrastructure adheres to best practices in management and security, recognizing the critical importance of our systems for our users.

Additionally, you will help the team manage and improve our CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• You will monitor and help maintain infrastructure for a federated storage network sitting at the backbone of WalletConnect’s products and services.
• You will create and maintain infrastructure for all of the different services making up our Back End infrastructure
• You will monitor and tune alerts for those services using Grafana and OpsGenie
• You will create Terraform Cloud projects and migrate existing services there
• You will create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Terraform and will debug any issues found with these
• You will help ensure that codebase dependencies are patched against CVEs reported by tooling
• You will build tools to facilitate operations if necessary

Requirements

Must Haves:

• Professional experience building blockchain product infrustructure
• Proficient in using Docker and Kubernetes

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, particularly experienced in AWS and Terraform.
• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles, CI/CD tools, automation scripts, and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with other cloud providers (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure) and a keen interest in multi-cloud strategies.
• Familiarity with Grafana and Prometheus
• Familiarity with Cloudflare

Plusses:

• Familiarity with Rust.
• AWS certification or similar is a plus.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with Vercel
