Odoo Developer - located in Gambia

We are seeking an Odoo developer to join our team in Gambia and specialize in customizing, developing, and implementing Odoo ERP systems to meet specific business requirements. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to design solutions that optimize workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the seamless integration of Odoo with other systems.

Tasks

• Module Development and Customization: Design and develop new Odoo modules, customize existing ones, and ensure they align with business needs
• Integration: Integrate Odoo with third-party applications and systems
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support, resolve bugs, and optimize performance
• Documentation: Create technical documentation, including specifications, flowcharts, and system configurations
• Collaboration: Work with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Upgrades and Maintenance: Participate in software upgrades, migrations, and ongoing maintenance of the ERP system
• Training: Offer user training and technical guidance during implementation phases

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python programming language and the Odoo framework
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database management
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git, GitLab).
• Experience with Odoo Migration, migrating code and db from one version to another
• Understanding of ERP concepts and workflows across modules like Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
• Minimum 1.5–3 years of experience in Odoo development; fresh-graduates may be considered for entry-level roles
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Odoo certification is a plus
• Experience with other ERP systems or agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and cloud technologies is advantageous
