Provide leadership and coaching to the Provider Relations team. Communicate strategic goals and the impact the teams’ efforts have in achieving the division and organizational goals
Participate in the development of key division initiatives. Lead, support, and implement assigned operational plan objectives
Responsible for the development and implementation of training strategies to support providers, educate staff, and leverage product offerings
Responsible for determining necessary training delivery and attendance at provider events and conventions nationwide
Responsible for provider networks, including maintaining appropriate access, timely credentialing of providers, and all related credentialing policies and procedures
Partner with division leadership, business partners, State Representatives, Committee and Board Members to recommend solutions or enhancements to the provider network
Attend seminars, conventions, optometric association events, and/or school events to stay in touch with key leaders and to stay current on emerging trends within the industry
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of direct reports
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues
Demonstrated ability to learn, interpret, and apply information in contractual documents, policies, and procedures
Excellent leadership skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel as needed up to several trips per year
Manage complex division projects where independent action, a high degree of initiative, and coordination across departments is required
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple, simultaneous tasks, problems, and projects
Monitor performance and training of direct reports. Provide prompt and objective coaching and counseling. Conduct performance reviews. Recommend salary increases.

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
