The Service business unit is the owner for the after-turbine sales business. Service operates, maintains, and coordinates all service contracts, T&M work, modified scope contracts, and CIM for various customer assets across North America. Service interfaces directly with operational counterparts within customer organizations maximizing turbine operation and performance. The Field Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and supporting all area of non-turbine work across one or multiple sites, including SAP planning, inventory and office management as directed by site leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide business and administrative support to site leadership for daily operations, including:
o Create and running regular reports (customer requested reports, safety, inventory, consumption, cost, serial number tracking, etc.)
o Assist with compiling data for budgets
o Making travel arrangements.
o Assist Site Manager in daily operations with
Highlighting cost irregularities
Create and monitor PR / PO's,
Order equipment and office Supplies,
Set up of Turbine Folders
Filing & Document Control,
Ensure defective parts are returned
Ensure scrap requests are created;
support shipping & receiving documentation and reporting
support accounting functions pertaining to parts/materials/tools.
- Support the site(s) Inventory and Tools with
o Full project Inventory & tool counts,
o Update System Software for Inventory Control,
o Track serial number activity for projects
o Support Scrap Request and Defective parts,
o Assist with Budget,
o Assist with PPE,
- Adhere to all planning processes and support maximize planning performance.
o Communicate daily with lead technicians, technicians, CIM, and site leadership in execution of site planning and inventory control.
o provide SAP fundamental instruction and assist with system problem solving and error processing.
o Enter and monitor data and maintain site data integrity as measured by performance to key Process Performance Indicators (PPIs).
o Identify and provide recommendations for planning and SAP process changes to enhance service operational and turbine performance.
o Work with site personnel, compliance, and others to validate improvements and changes.
• Support Vestas Safety policies:
o order personal protection equipment (PPE) for technicians,
o maintain site safety data sheets (SDS),
- Support other sites to solve issues impacting the greater organization.
o Promote the values of Simplicity, Accountability, and Collaboration.
o As experience develops, candidates should promote a sharing and learning environment where others are developed throughout the organization.
- Acts as a trainer to technicians across area regarding SAP entry of inventory and service order accuracy. Primary work will be within U.S. or Canada.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of business support experience in either inventory or office administration, wind industry experience preferred.
- Experienced in working with enterprise resource program (SAP preferred) such as a dispatch / planner, stock keeper, technician, front desk functions, and advanced forecasting and planning.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in planning, logistics, scheduling and inventory control.
- Good organizational skills with LEAN experience.
- High verbal and written communication skills; active and effective listener; ability to effectively influence others to adhere to standard processes and procedures.
- Advanced PC computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel). Preference given to those with SAP experience.
- Ability to work in both a team-based environment and individually. Candidate should be capable of working remotely without need for supervision.
- Ability to identify problems and solve them through root cause analysis; demonstrate solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Solid time management and demonstrated organizational skills to ensure both individual and assigned department goals are met.
- Minimum 50% travel required, during project work, 100% travel, valid driver's license required. More travel is required with advanced positions.
- Passport for international travel is required.
