Position Overview:

The Senior Global Commercial and Pricing Analyst will be a key participant in maintaining an efficient and sustainable global pricing function that oversees the growth of profitable new business; develops and maintains key relationships within the business, as well as being an advocate for a consistent and standardized approach to pricing practices. The ideal candidate will be able to manage competing demands for cost and price modeling for RFPs, existing customer renewals and expansions, as well as business case modeling for new products and services. This position reports to the Manager of Global Commercial Pricing and will work closely with stakeholders and leaders across the organization. This role requires cross-functional partnership, leadership, knowledge, and competencies in areas beyond traditional finance functions. To be successful in this position, the ability to organize, multitask and leverage process improvements is critical.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Develop cost models via effective engagement with business owners or existing assumptions-based methodologies and propose pricing and margins as a driver to meet business unit financial results.
  2. Maintain strong working relationships within the business, including leadership, to ensure priority management and price modelling is of the highest quality
  3. Assist in the determination of a pricing strategy and price formulation across all products, solutions and services in global markets and channels
  4. Identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through pricing strategies
  5. Maintain key relationships across the business to facilitate a collaborative approach to pricing, a focus on winning.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  2. Must have strong PC (Microsoft Office) experience and advanced Excel proficiency.
  3. 3 or more years finance or accounting experience in similar roles.
  4. Must possess the ability to influence internal stakeholders and be able to drive decisions across an organization. Must possess an aptitude for priority management, and on occasion identify the need for escalation protocols if relevant.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate professionally.
  6. Ability to discern and satisfy sales and account management objectives while maintaining independence and integrity within the pricing function.
  7. Conducting expert reviews, or breakdowns of scoring methodologies
  8. Must thrive in a fluid, fast paced environment.
  9. Strong negotiation skills required, including the ability to handle objections and achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
  10. Experience making process improvements and driving continuous improvement utilizing current technologies.
