Your Role: As a Project Manager on the UR Syndicated Research team, you will execute research studies that explore key questions shaping the future of early career recruiting. This role is primarily qualitative, with a strong focus on designing and conducting interviews with Talent Acquisition leaders, Heads of University Recruiting, Heads of Career Services, and other senior stakeholders.
You will synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights and develop research reports that translate findings into clear, actionable perspectives for our members. This role involves regular collaboration with internal leadership, with research deliverables directly informing firm-level priorities and decision-making.
How You'll Grow: This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise as a researcher while contributing to the development of Veris Insights' research agenda.
You will build experience designing and executing complex research studies to investigate emerging questions in early career recruiting. Through this work, you will strengthen your ability to conduct high-level interviews, synthesize diverse inputs into clear insights, and translate research findings into clear, structured outputs.
Over time, you will take on increasingly complex studies, expanding your ability to tackle ambiguous questions, connect multiple sources of information, and produce research that informs how employers approach early career recruiting.

Who You Are:

Experienced End-to-End Researcher. You are highly organized and capable of managing complex research studies from initial question framing through final deliverable, ensuring rigor, clarity, and timely execution.
Qualitative Researcher. You are comfortable conducting interviews and analyzing qualitative data to identify themes, patterns, and insights.
Insightful Communicator. You translate research findings into clear narratives, frameworks, and reports that help others understand what the data means.
Analytical Storyteller. You enjoy working through complex questions and synthesizing multiple sources of information into clear conclusions.
Curious and Self-Directed. You are motivated to investigate new questions, explore emerging trends, and continuously deepen your understanding of the early career recruiting landscape.

Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Research Development

  • Lead research studies from concept through final deliverable, including framing research questions, selecting appropriate methodologies, and synthesizing findings into actionable insights.
  • Design and execute research approaches that may include qualitative interviews, focus groups, surveys, and secondary research.
  • Conduct interviews with employers, students, and industry practitioners to explore emerging questions in early career recruiting.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative inputs to identify meaningful patterns, themes, and signals across multiple sources of information.
  • Develop research deliverables, like research reports, toolkits, one-pagers, and guides in PowerPoint or Canva, that translate findings into clear narratives, frameworks, and insights for members.

Key Responsibilities: Research Enablement & Collaboration

  • Translate the research agenda into clear project plans and timelines, ensuring studies progress efficiently and deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Veris Insights, including research, member experience, and growth teams, to ensure insights are integrated into member conversations and product initiatives.

The Requirements:

  • Ability to interpret and synthesize quantitative data and integrate it with qualitative insights to develop well-supported conclusions.
  • Exceptional ability to translate research findings into clear narratives, frameworks, and compelling research reports.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, thoughtful, and high-quality research outputs.
  • Comfort working through ambiguous research questions and structuring complex topics into clear analytical approaches.

The Compensation & Benefits Package:

  • Salary: $80,000-$92,500 annually, depending on experience
  • Location: Remote-first within the U.S., with occasional travel to Washington, DC for in-person collaboration, team off-sites, or strategic planning
  • Time Off: Unlimited PTO, plus monthly mental health days
  • Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus a $1,000 annual wellness stipend

Please keep in mind: Research has shown that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds only apply to jobs when they meet 100% of the requirements vs. their majority counterparts, which apply at a much higher rate if they meet 50-60% of the requirements. So, with that being said, if you are interested in the role, we would love to hear how you can leverage your talents to be an awesome culture add.
Our Values & Culture, In Brief: Talent is in our DNA. It is what we study, who we serve, and the quality we most pride ourselves on internally. In order for our team members to be at their best, we provide individualized benefits and support. At the most basic level, benefits include unlimited PTO, health insurance benefits, and career development opportunities. We believe a well-rounded and diverse team is the key to our success. To provide the widest range of experiences and perspectives in our member service and internal culture, we never discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status. Please let our recruiter know if there are any accommodations we can provide for you to ensure an equitable and comfortable recruitment process.
We highly value diversity, equity, and inclusion, and this shows up in everything we do. Our research has a significant focus on the experiences of candidates from diverse backgrounds. Internally, we have Employee Resource Groups for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ employees, and Affinity Groups to support women and neurodiversity. Furthermore, we’ve established a Diversity Council to promote a workplace environment that is safe, respectful, and inclusive for all and acts as an active partner to People Ops and Leadership in service of our broader firm-wide DEI goals.
