Role Summary
This is anengineeringposition. You will ensure end‑to‑end quality for custom software projects bydesigning, coding, and maintaining automated tests(UI/API) while executing focused manual testing where it adds the most value. You willleverage AI(LLMs/Copilot) to accelerate test design, data generation, scripting, and log analysis.
Responsibilities
- Own thetest strategy and pyramid(unit signals from dev teams, API and E2E focus in QA).
- Build and maintainautomation frameworksinPlaywright (TypeScript)orCypress; structure page objects, fixtures, and utilities.
- DesignE2E/UI/API/contracttests; managetest data, mocking/stubbing, andenvironmentconfigs.
- Integrate suites withCI/CD(GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps), enable parallel runs, artifacts, and quality gates.
- Execute targetedmanual testing(exploratory, UAT, regression) and producereproducible evidence.
- Drivedefect triageand root‑cause analysis with engineering; reduceflakinessvia robust waits/retries and observability.
- Trackquality metrics(defect leakage, MTTR, coverage on critical paths) and report trends.
- AI in QA:generate/refine BDD cases, selectors, synthetic data, draft scripts; summarize logs and propose failure hypotheses.

- Contract testing(e.g., Pact),visual testing(Applitools),performancebasics (k6/JMeter), mobile testing.
- Python basics, Docker for local/CI runners, TestRail/Allure/Xray reporting.
- Familiarity withZoho(Projects/Desk/Analytics) or Jira/Confluence.
Tooling
Playwright, Cypress, Postman/Newman, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, Git, Docker (basic), Allure/TestRail (or similar), Miro/Confluence/Notion, Figma (review prototypes).
Requirements
- 3+ yearsasQA Engineer/Software Engineer in Testfor custom software or SaaS.
- StrongTypeScript/JavaScriptskills; hands‑on withPlaywright or Cypress.
- SolidAPI testing(Postman/Newman/Insomnia), JSON/HTTP;basic SQLfor validations.
- Experience withGit, branching strategies, and reading CI pipelines.
- Practice withBDD(Given/When/Then) and translating acceptance criteria into automated checks.
- Demonstrated use ofAI tools(ChatGPT/Copilot or similar) to speed up QA with concrete examples.
