Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer / DevOps Team Lead to join our team. In this role, you will not only design, implement, and maintain complex systems for VectorVMS, but also act as a technical leader within the DevOps group — helping set team priorities, guiding best practices, and fostering collaboration.
You’ll work closely with the Head of DevOps (who provides overall direction and strategy) to translate objectives into actionable plans for the team. This is a hands-on technical leadership position, ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring others while remaining deeply involved in architecture, implementation, and optimization.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the day-to-day activities of the DevOps and systems team, helping define priorities, allocate tasks, and ensure timely delivery.
- Design and implement robust systems, networks, and storage solutions.
- Configure and maintain our CI/CD pipelines for our SaaS platform
- Manage our cloud environments (AWS)
- Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, and security of our systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any system or network issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate closely with QA and software development to support our deliveries.
- Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to make recommendations.
- Champion best-practice when it comes to infrastructure security and stability
- Mentor and support team members in developing their technical and professional skills.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or DevOps Engineer
- Demonstrated leadership experience — setting priorities, coordinating team efforts, or mentoring others.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
- Proficiency in server administration and configuration management.
- Hands-on experience with system monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security
- Most importantly: a proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
What Will Help You Succeed In the Job ?

- Microsoft Windows and Linux administration.
- Experience with F5/BigIP and networking/Active Directory.
- Previous experience working in a SaaS business operating internationally.
