We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Online Enrollment Advisor to join our team and play a crucial role in guiding prospective students on their journey to becoming part of the UM online learning community.
As an Online Enrollment Advisor, you will be a key point of contact for prospective students exploring our diverse portfolio of online programs. You will provide personalized guidance, answer questions, and support students throughout the enrollment process. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Student-Centered Guidance:
- Respond to inquiries from prospective students via phone, email, and virtual meetings, providing timely and accurate information about our online programs.
- Guide prospective students through the enrollment process, from initial inquiry to application submission and acceptance.
- Develop a strong understanding of the online programs within your portfolio, including curriculum, faculty, admissions requirements, and career outcomes.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of online learning at the University of Miami, highlighting the benefits of our programs and the support services available to students.
- Application Support & Processing:
- Assist prospective students with completing online applications, ensuring that all required documents are submitted and deadlines are met.
- Review applications for completeness and accuracy, following up with applicants as needed to request missing information or clarify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to facilitate the timely processing of applications and communicate admissions decisions to applicants.
- Relationship Building & Communication:
- Build rapport with prospective students, creating a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages them to pursue their educational goals.
- Maintain regular communication with prospective students throughout the enrollment process, providing updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Utilize Salesforce and Slate CRM systems to track interactions with prospective students, manage your pipeline, and monitor progress towards enrollment goals.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the enrollment team and across the Online Learning Division.
- Share best practices, contribute to team meetings, and participate in professional development activities.
- Support the Director of Enrollment Management in achieving team goals and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Certification and Licensing:
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in admissions, enrollment advising, or a related field, preferably in a higher education setting.
Experience working with adult learners and non-traditional students preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with prospective students from diverse backgrounds.
- Technology & Data Entry: Proficiency in using technology for communication, data entry, and record keeping. Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
- Knowledge & Skills: Understanding of the enrollment management process. Interest in online learning and the unique needs of online learners.
- Knowledge of marketing and recruitment strategies for online programs.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Slate CRM systems.
This is a fully-remote position, with quarterly trips to the University of Miami Coral Gables campus.
