Our Engineering team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the systems and technologies that drive Unifonic’s solutions. We work closely with other departments to ensure our products and services meet the needs of our customers. As Engineering Manager -Data and Analytics , you will be responsible for growing our analytical & insight capabilities to shape the future of our organization. Your team’s insights will tell us what we are doing right, what we are doing wrong, and what we should do next. In this role, you will work closely with the leadership team to inform business recommendations anchored on data, facts, and insights. You will be leading our team of analytics experts, conceptualizing, designing, building, optimizing KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and analytical products to enable cross-functional decision making.

Help us shape the future of communications by:

  • Building, developing and maintaining frameworks, data models, reporting systems, dashboards, and KPIs.

  • Carrying out analyses and formulating a department-specific root-cause analysis.

  • Developing a deep understanding of Unifonic, the industry, and the market environment.

  • Providing analytical support to all departments of the business by framing complex problems, identifying key variables, distilling insights, and presenting findings & recommendations.

  • Enabling all functions in the organization the ability to develop analytical skills and ultimately build a data-driven culture.

  • Addressing data anomalies and 'dirty' data.

  • Conducting ad-hoc analytical projects that provide answers to unforeseen questions.

  • Creating a variety of user-friendly reporting solutions in the form of dashboards.

  • Defining relevant analytical/data infrastructure requirements to be built in close collaboration with data engineering.

  • Defining relevant KPIs/metrics for the entire business.

Requirements

What you will bring:

  • Hands-on 10+ years of experience working in the field of Data and Analytics.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field: Business/Economics/Finance; Statistics/Mathematics; Computer Science; or equivalent.

  • Strong quantitative analysis skills including regressions, hypothesis testing etc.

  • Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.

  • Experience with scripting/statistical languages such as Python or R would be an asset.

  • Hands-on experience with industry-leading data visualization/analytics platforms such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, or similar.

  • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.

  • Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple pieces of work without losing attention to detail or strategic perspective.

  • Experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Segment, Adjust etc.) and/or product analytics tools (e.g. Mixpanel, Amplitude etc.) would be an asset.

  • Proven work experience in a cross-functional analytical team as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role.

  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to present analytical findings concisely in both verbal and written format.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
