At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for an Application Architect to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Defining or adapting the current architecture to support customer needs.
  • Performing data analysis, ERD modeling, and applying Boyce–Codd Normal Form (BCNF).
  • Supporting technical teams integrating with the system.
  • Addressing technical issues raised during the operation of the solution.
  • Designing and developing architectural components and building blocks.
  • Participating in technical working groups, progress meetings, and meetings with users.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • Minimum Master's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience , with at least 2 years of experience in Oracle RDBMS architecture.
  • Strong expertise in relational databases (preferably Oracle 19c or newer), including database design and complex SQL.
  • Solid experience with PL/SQL, stored procedures, and deployment packages.
  • Proficiency in Git and CI/CD pipelines for databases (e.g., Liquibase).
  • Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux and shell scripting (Bash/KornShell).
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira) and basic knowledge of database administration.
  • Basic knowledge of application servers (e.g., WebLogic, Tomcat).
  • Understanding of modern data engineering tools (Parquet, Delta, Databricks, Synapse, or Fabric) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, HR domain knowledge would be an asset.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills with fluency in English.
