The Associate Information Management Officer provides technical coordination support, system implementation support, and supports the data protection governance for UNHCR project-funded initiatives, in close coordination and upon guidance on protection policy-related issues, implemented in cooperation with national and internal counterparts, including Protection, CBI, Programme, Supply, Development and other relevant units, in Türkiye.
Requirements
- Degree: For IC-9 - 3 years relevant experience with Undergraduate degree; or 2 years relevant experience with Graduate degree; or 1 year relevant experience with Doctorate degree
- Language: Required: English and Turkish
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, information systems, public administration, social sciences, or a related field
- Minimum 7–9 years of progressively responsible experience in information management, identity management, protection systems, or digital solutions
- Demonstrated experience with registration or individual case management systems, including UNHCR proGres and/or BIMS
- At least 5 years of experience working with government counterparts on system-level or inter-institutional data-exchange initiatives
- Proven experience in data protection, data governance, and responsible data-sharing
- Experience supporting project-based, multi-stakeholder implementations
- Demonstrated UNHCR emergency response experience
- At least 3 years of people-management experience
- Advanced technical coordination and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of data protection and information governance principles
- Ability to translate operational and protection requirements into technical solutions
- Strong drafting and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong stakeholder coordination and problem-solving abilities
