Reporting to the Director of Content and Implementation, Content Writer-Language and Literacy Specialist, will play a crucial role in creating engaging and informative content that supports our educational products and services at CORE, Digital Division.

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Content Writer with expertise in language and literacy education to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating engaging and informative content that supports our educational products and services.

UnboundEd is a virtual organization and this employee can be based anywhere in the United States. UnboundEd has business hours where we expect all staff to be available from 9 am to 5 pm local time and 10% travel is required

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality content for educational professional development material, including digital assets and offline materials.
• Research and analyze educational trends, best practices, and curriculum standards related to language and literacy.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and product developers to ensure alignment of content with educational objectives.
• Create engaging and effective content that follows adult learning best practices.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to company standards.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in language and literacy education to inform content development strategies.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews to contribute ideas and insights.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the company's overall content strategy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience as a content writer or instructional designer in the edtech sector, preferably in language and literacy.
• Experience writing content in a Content Management System
• Strong understanding of language acquisition theories, literacy development principles specifically in structured literacy, and pedagogical strategies.
• Excellent writing, editing, and research skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in educational technology tools, multimedia content creation, and learning management systems.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Passion for education, creativity, and innovation in content creation.

Benefits

UnboundEd offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience and education and a generous benefits package that includes take-as-you-need vacation time, group medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance plans, and an employer-sponsored 401K retirement plan with a 5% employer contribution and no vesting period or salary cap. This is an exempt full-time position with an annual salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 with additional bonus earning potential. A compensation offer is based on relevant years of experience in relation to the position.
