About the Role
Our client is seeking a senior or expert-level video editor to work on a documentary project. The project aims to preserve disappearing traditions in Sarawak by creating both 4K video and virtual reality (VR) formats for YouTube 360. This is a remote freelance opportunity with the potential for follow-up work, with a project budget ranging from $2,000 to $3,000.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to understand the project's objectives, vision, and overall storytelling approach.
- Edit and post-produce the raw video footage to create a compelling and engaging documentary in 4K resolution.
- Utilize advanced video editing techniques, such as color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics, to enhance the visual and auditory experience.
- Create immersive virtual reality (VR) content from the footage
Requirements
- Senior or expert-level experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing documentary and VR content creation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Expertise in VR video editing tools and techniques, including software like Adobe Premiere Pro (with VR extensions), or dedicated VR video editing platforms.
- Solid understanding of color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics principles.
- Experience with 360-degree video stitching, stabilization, and spatial audio integration.
- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to convey narratives through visuals and sound.
