About the Role

Our client, a creative production company specializing in animation and visual effects is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Junior 2D Animator with expertise in cel animation to join their team remotely for a long-term project. The project involves creating an engaging 2D animation web series inspired by the Japanese anime style. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in bringing the characters and story to life through detailed and expressive animations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the production team to understand the creative vision and style guidelines for the anime-inspired web series.
• Create high-quality 2D cel animations for characters, backgrounds, and other elements, following the established anime aesthetics.
• Ensure smooth and natural character movements, expressions, and lip-syncing animations.
• Adhere to the project's timeline and deliver animations on schedule.
• Incorporate feedback from the team and make revisions as necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in 2D cel animation, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in character animation and anime-style artwork.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 2D animation software such as Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and movement.
• Ability to interpret and follow storyboards, character designs, and creative direction.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality animations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working remotely with a team.
• Passion for anime and Japanese animation styles.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently on a long-term project.
• Familiarity with video editing software is a plus.
