True Tandem
United States only
Company Description
TrueTandem's mission is to be a trusted information technology solutions provider, committed to the success of our customers, communities and employees. To enable this mission, we listen to our customers’ needs, empower our dedicated and talented employees, envision success together, and deliver innovative cost-effective solutions. For our customers, we aim to deliver more power to meet their business outcomes through technology implementation, integration, optimization and customization. We enable some of the most well-known companies, nonprofits and federal agencies in the United States to intelligently plan and develop their applications, modernize their infrastructure and manage their data.
As a Technical Project Manager on TrueTandem’s Digital Modernization team, you will lead the delivery of the Web Services program—a cross-functional initiative supporting modernization and sustainment of various digital solutions and collaboration systems.
TrueTandem is a digital modernization company focused on transforming how federal agencies operate through secure, scalable, and user-centered technology. Our teams bring deep expertise in Agile delivery, DevSecOps, and AI-assisted modernization, working collaboratively with government stakeholders to reduce technical debt, improve accessibility, and enhance mission impact.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can balance technical understanding, stakeholder coordination, and delivery execution—ensuring seamless integration between Web Services and the SharePoint/Power Platform teams.
Program Leadership & Delivery
  • Serve as the overall Project Manager for modernization, responsible for planning, execution, and delivery across various environments.
  • Coordinate daily activities for a cross-functional team (developers, compliance analysts, systems analysts, SharePoint engineers, and federal partners).
  • Act as the primary liaison between client Product Owners, TrueTandem leadership, and technical leads (Web Services and SharePoint).
  • Manage the Agile delivery process—sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reporting.
  • Oversee task prioritization, resource allocation, and milestone tracking using Jira or similar tools.
  • Maintain close coordination between the modernization workstream and collaboration initiatives to ensure aligned architecture, content strategy, and data governance.
Technical Oversight & Governance
  • Translate business goals into technical deliverables that align with client’s modernization roadmap and IT governance standards.
  • Support implementation of DevSecOps pipelines, automated testing (Behat/Gherkin), and AI-enabled validation processes.
  • Facilitate integration of content, authentication, and data-sharing workflows across DOJ Web Services and intranet environments.
  • Monitor quality, performance, and compliance metrics using tools such as New Relic, Splunk, and Akamai.
  • Ensure adherence to Section 508, FedRAMP, and FISMA standards.
Stakeholder Management
  • Provide regular program updates, risk assessments, and status reports to DOJ leadership.
  • Manage communications and expectations across multiple stakeholders—technical, operational, and executive.
  • Foster a collaborative, transparent culture within the team and across partner organizations.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in IT project or program management, including federal digital modernization or web development initiatives.
  • Strong technical understanding of Drupal (v9–11), SharePoint Online, Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, and M365 integration.
  • Proven experience leading Agile software delivery teams using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and cloud-hosted environments (Azure, AWS).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with compliance frameworks: Section 508, WCAG 2.1, FedRAMP, FISMA.
