We are looking to expand our team of Platform Engineers with an experienced Cloud Security Engineer.

In this role, you will play an important part in improving our platform by applying security best-practices at every stage of the development process. Your expertise in platform engineering and security will be crucial in enabling our growth securely.

You will be responsible for:

• Collaborate with the Platform Team to develop and build robust and reliable technical infrastructure and tooling.
• Integrate security best-practices into the development and maintenance of our platform.
• Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration Management tools to automate security configurations.
• Championing DevSecOps culture and practices throughout our engineering teams.
• Advocate for security, ensuring that security considerations are integrated in all stages of the software development process.
• Accelerate our transition to Continuous Delivery while maintaining a strong focus on security.
• Implement security measures into CI/CD pipelines to detect and correct vulnerabilities early in the process.
• Enhance the security posture of the infrastructure, systems, and applications through effective observability using technologies such as Prometheus, ELK, and CloudWatch.
• Strive to automate security processes and procedures to ensure the efficacy and consistency in security measures.

About you:

• Bring a strong history in security practices, demonstrating a proactive and preventive approach to system and application security.
• Build on your previous experience of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Configuration Management, and cloud services to improve the security of our platform.
• Demonstrate competence with security tools and frameworks, integrating them seamlessly into the development lifecycle.
• Collaborating effectively with engineering teams is essential to instil a security-first mindset and provide guidance on secure coding practices.
• Apply your programming/scripting skills (Java, Bash, Python, Go, or similar) to implement and automate security measures.
• Demonstrate experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration technologies, ensuring the security of containerised applications.
• Demonstrate skill in developing and securing complicated CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on secure deployment methods.
• Have a good understanding of Linux, leveraging it securely within our platform.
• Work with YAML and Markdown with ease, contributing to thorough and clear documentation of security practices and configurations.
