Human Resources Generalist sought to support the Black LGBTQ+ Migrant Project (BLMP) in employee relations, compliance, learning and development, and organizational culture. The role requires 1-3 years of HR experience and a commitment to Black liberation, Black migrant justice, and the abolition of the carceral state.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of HR experience across functions such as employee relations, compliance, or learning and development
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience maintaining HRIS systems, personnel records, and HR documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion and a trauma-informed, restorative approach to conflict resolution
- Familiarity with community organizing and the ability to work effectively alongside grassroots and movement-based organizations
- Passion for and commitment to Black liberation, Black migrant justice, and the abolition of the carceral state
