Transcend is hiring a Senior Software Engineer on the Workflows Team to build software that helps companies tackle privacy challenges. The team works on the core execution engine and the web‑based configuration & monitoring surface for workflows. The role is remote, full‑time, exempt, based in the U.S.; valid work authorization required. Reports to Engineering Manager.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to build business‑critical features.
- Ship production‑ready code that is easy to iterate on.
- Build across the stack (Typescript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS); also work with native browser APIs and mobile SDKs on Consent & Preferences product lines.
- Participate in roadmap discussions and technical design reviews, weighing performance, cost, reliability, and scale trade‑offs.
- Proactively fix production and development issues; use metrics and observability tools to investigate problems and root causes.
Who you are
- 4–6 years of software engineering experience, emphasis on backend or full‑stack; DevOps experience a plus.
- Self‑directed learner who seeks feedback and balances deep understanding with task completion.
- Capable of identifying trade‑offs, prioritizing based on business impact, and balancing craft, speed, and cost.
- Effective at async and online communication; remote collaboration experience.
Compensation Information
- USD 180,000 – 200,000 for Tier 1 labor markets; adjusted by location and qualifications.
