Position Overview:

This role is specifically aligned to our financial services customers, including all types of asset managers (alternatives, hedge, wealth, and private equity).

The Project Delivery Lead is primarily responsible for defining, planning, tracking, and managing customer projects. The applicable projects will be a mix of new customer implementations and existing customer work. Serving as the main point of contact for customers for the duration of the project, the Project Delivery lead will need to drive the project to success through clear expectation setting, task management, and status updates. A Project Delivery Lead will communicate with and organize Thrive internal resources including Engineers, Consultants, and Architects using Project Management software, checklists, and reports.

The ideal candidate needs to possess strong project management skills and have experience in managed services, technology solutions, and financial services customers. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are necessary to gain customer confidence and bring projects live quickly. The applicant must be able to motivate people, encourage teamwork, and communicate effectively with senior management and financial services personas (COOs, CTOs, Traders, and Portfolio Managers). He/she must be able to manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making. It is expected that individuals in this role are extremely responsive to customers and spend time at the customer’s site.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Investigate customer project needs by working with sales, account managers, and consultants to understand project success criteria and technical requirements

  • Perform project plan design to meet the critical path and customer timeframes; employ project charters, RAID Logs, and business requirement documents

  • Lead the project by assigning tasks to Engineers and communicating statuses to customers through status update meetings

  • Keep project resources on task, maintain project plan data, drive projects to completion, and activate Monthly Recurring Revenue

  • Effectively communicate with client technical and non-technical staff by creating digestible project plans that organize tasks into appropriate phases

  • Lead meetings, migrations, enrollments, moves, surveys, and cutovers at client sites where appropriate

  • Quickly respond to client inquiries and needs by being highly available

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to be a leader of a cross functional project team, as the delivery lead is ultimately responsible to the customer

  • Advanced experience (2+ years) in project management and/or professional services

  • Advanced experience (2+ years) working with financial services customers in some capacity (technology, software, account management/csm, support)

  • Experience implementing managed services and information technology solutions

  • Skilled in managing project plans, writing project artifacts, and documenting customer workflows

  • Solid understanding of cloud migrations, networking, cyber security, office buildout/moves, and disaster recovery concepts

  • Solid understanding of trading (OMS/EMS), accounting, and market data systems

  • Technical understanding of Thrive approved technologies included but not limited to:

  • Office 365, Intune, and Entra ID

  • Microsoft Server OS

  • Private Cloud

  • Public Cloud (Azure)

  • Networking (Firewalls, Switching, Access Points)

  • Disaster Recovery

  • Backup technology

  • Cyber Security Tools (Web/Mail Filtering, Endpoint Protection)

It would be great if you also have:

  • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, Prince etc.)

  • Experience using ServiceNow (or other project management software)

  • Experience in ITIL methodology and change management processes

  • Willingness to improve team process and contribute to team and company initiatives
