The Role
We are looking for a skilled Senior Video Editor with animation expertise to join our team. This role requires advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, a strong passion for visual storytelling, and a working knowledge of emerging AI tools in video production and editing. The ideal candidate brings creativity, technical excellence, and a forward-thinking approach to deliver compelling and innovative video content.

You Will Have The Opportunity To

Video Editing & Production:

  • Edit and assemble professional-grade video content with precision and creativity.
  • Ensure seamless integration of visual and audio elements, delivering polished outputs that align with project objectives and brand standards.
  • Utilize AI-powered editing tools to streamline workflows, enhance video quality, and improve efficiency.

Animation & Motion Graphics:

  • Develop high-quality 2D/3D animations, infographics, and motion graphics to simplify and visualize complex medical concepts.
  • Use After Effects and AI-assisted animation tools to create engaging visuals that enhance educational content.

AI Integration in Video Production:

  • Leverage AI-driven tools for video enhancement, noise reduction, auto-captioning, colour grading, and automated editing.
  • Stay current with emerging AI technologies that can optimize video production processes.

Collaboration & Storyboarding:

  • Partner with content developers, medical writers, and project managers to conceptualize video projects.
  • Translate scripts and complex ideas into visually compelling storyboards and final outputs.
  • Suggest ways to enhance our video content with graphics, text effects, etc.

Quality Assurance:

  • Review and refine video projects to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Incorporate the latest trends in video production, AI, and animation to keep content innovative.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple video and animation projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Work collaboratively to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot creative challenges.
  • Manage external vendors.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of professional experience in video editing and animation, with a strong portfolio in medical, educational, or e-learning content
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven video editing tools (e.g., Runway ML, Topaz Video AI, Adobe Sensei, Descript, Pika Labs, or similar).
  • Strong command of other Adobe Creative Suite tools (Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Strong understanding of AODA, ADA, and other relevant accessibility requirements
  • Experience with 3D animation tools like Blender or Cinema 4D is an asset.
  • Knowledge of audio editing and sound design is a plus.
  • Exceptional storytelling abilities, with the ability to make technical or complex topics visually engaging and easy to understand.
  • A keen eye for design, timing, and aesthetics.
  • Ability to explore and adapt AI-assisted video production techniques to enhance creativity and efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced production environment.
