Workers' Compensation CoordinatorEmployees can be absent from work for a variety of reasons: casual absence, work-related illness and/or injury, or health issues requiring the employee to be away from the work place for an extended period. Our absence management program helps employers strategically manage those absences- focusing on reducing overall costs, realizing administrative efficiency, and enhancing support for employees. All with the goal of returning employees to health and productivity.
Responsibilities:
Support Workers’ Compensation Case Managers with a variety of tasks such as data entry, communication distribution and other administrativefunctions;
Coordinate the flow of information to Claims Management Coordinators and CaseManagers;
Operating the Kofax system to attach incoming documents toclaims;
Processing invoices within our Kofax and Abiliti Case ManagementSystems;
Communicating with the provincial boards to obtain information on claimfiles;
Communicating with clients for telephonic claimintake;
Opening, sorting, scanning, and storing the mail wereceive;
Working with the team to ensure that all responsibilities are completed according to service levelagreements;
Meeting established productivityobjectives.
Succeeding as a Workers' Compensation Coordinator will require the following core qualifications and skills (at minimum):
Must be a paralegallicencedwith the Law Society of Ontario in good standing
Post-secondary education in health management and/or absence and disability management is a considerableasset;
Completed related academic course work in health and safety, workers’ compensation, medical terminology, disability management, insurance, or RTW/Rehabilitationpreferred;
Strong interpersonal skills along with superior assessment and problem solvingskills;
Work experience in afront linecustomer support role, combined with an understanding of and appreciation for strong client serviceskills;
Polished communicationskills;
High attention to detail.
Salary Range: $39,900 - $74,100
Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
