Project Overview

We’re partnering with a fast-paced startup at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and information integrity, building machine learning–powered threat detection systems that identify and neutralize digital disinformation at scale. Their platform serves Fortune 1000 organizations and government agencies, leveraging sophisticated NLP models to process millions of data points in real time.

By combining large language models, anomaly detection, and advanced classification algorithms, they help organizations distinguish legitimate narratives from coordinated manipulation — a mission-critical challenge in today’s digital landscape.

The Role

We’re looking for a strong Python Developer with experience in LLM integration to join a high-performing, mission-driven engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, takes ownership of their work, and embraces the flexibility needed to move fast and innovate.

You’ll play a key role in designing and integrating LLM-powered APIs into live production systems, helping to evolve the core ML platform that fuels real-time threat detection.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain backend systems written in Python, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and robustness in production.
• Integrate and manage LLM-based APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, custom models) into internal and customer-facing environments.
• Build and refine API microservices, ensuring seamless communication between platform components and external systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect new features and rapidly prototype experimental ML capabilities.
• Embrace a FlexPlayer mindset — proactively identifying problems, owning outcomes, and contributing wherever the team needs you most.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of hands-on Python development experience, ideally with production-grade systems.
• 1+ year working with LLM or generative AI integrations in production or internal environments (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, LangChain, or similar).
• Experience designing or consuming Open APIs, with strong understanding of authentication, rate-limiting, and reliability patterns.
• Familiarity with modern cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Comfort working in high-velocity, startup-style teams, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
• Strong ownership mindset — you take initiative, deliver independently, and ensure quality without hand-holding.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence or equivalent

4. Hiring Manager Interview
   Duration: 15-30 minutes
   Format: Virtual interview with the hiring manager to discuss the role in more detail, evaluate cultural fit, and review your experience.
5. Client Interview 1
   Duration: 45 minutes
   Format: Virtual interview with a client manager to assess how your skills and experience align with the client’s needs and expectations.

6. Client Interview 2
   Duration: 45 minutes
   Format: Virtual interview with a client representative to assess how your skills and experience align with the client’s needs and expectations.
