We are Tagvenue - a global online marketplace for venue hire. With growth, empowerment, and execution at our core, we're on a mission to revolutionize the venue-booking experience worldwide. We launched in mid-2015, and within a short period, we achieved a market-leading position in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Canada, and we’re expanding rapidly in the US. As a team of 100+ professionals, we're on the lookout for talented individuals who share our drive for innovation and passion for excellence. Join us and be part of reshaping the future of event experiences worldwide.

As a Mid Product Developer (PHP) here at Tagvenue, you will:

  • Collaborate with a team of highly talented engineers, learn from each other, and discuss technical improvements

  • Write top-quality code following DDD principles, covered with unit and integration tests

  • Discuss business requirements and design solutions by working directly with stakeholders (Product Team, company Founders, other teams)

  • Tackle scaling challenges – grow our traffic volume and data usage, expand into new markets, and explore new revenue streams

  • Individually deliver complete features, from kickoff meetings with stakeholders through development, deployment into production, and monitoring

  • Choose the architecture that best solves the problem at hand – as the sole engineering team in the company, we have significant autonomy

  • Work in 1-week sprints, fulfill quarterly objectives, and join Townhall meetings to stay connected to the business context

We offer an opportunity to specialize in Infrastructure/DevOps/AI/LLMs. While this is not a requirement, an eagerness to learn and tackle tasks in these areas is highly appreciated.

Your typical week will consist of:

  • 70% - coding

  • 10% - code reviews

  • 20% - meetings (standups, project kick-offs, retros, dev meetings)

Our tech stack:

Backend: PHP, Laravel, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis

Frontend: Vue, Vite, Tailwind, Twig, SCSS, Jest, Puppeteer

Infrastructure: Docker, Terraform, CI/CD using GitHub Actions, CDN in Fastly, Nginx, Elasticsearch + Fluentd + Kibana + Grafana stack for monitoring, AWS

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Strong knowledge of PHP

  • A constant learner mindset – passionate about IT, actively acquiring new knowledge, and staying up to date with the latest advancements in the software industry

  • Strong sense of ownership – you'll deploy to production in your first week

  • Solid code organization skills – familiarity with concepts like SOLID, design patterns, Clean Code, Domain-Driven Design, etc.

  • Commitment to software development best practices, including Test-Driven Development, Trunk-Based Development/Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment, as well as Agile, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code

  • Experience working with frameworks (we’re using Laravel 10)

  • Excellent communication skills in English (C1) and Polish (C2)

  • Open-minded and adaptable – ready to challenge and evolve outdated practices

  • High engagement with projects – willing to push back on unrealistic ideas and demand excellence from yourself and others
