The Job:
As The Creative Lead serves as the principal creative strategist for communications across the enterprise, responsible for translating the company’s strategic vision into compelling, cohesive creative work that reaches leaders and employees across a global organization. This role combines hands-on creative direction with team leadership, partnering closely with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure every touchpoint — from executive presentations to large-scale events — tells a clear, connected story that drives understanding, alignment, and action. The Creative Lead is a key partner for enterprise strategy communications and visual storytelling, setting creative direction and standards for employee engagement across the company. You’ll get to:
- Articulate a clear, creative vision that brings the enterprise strategy to life, transforming data, strategic objectives, and technical programs into compelling narratives that inspire leaders across the globe and drive unified action.
- Partnering with communications leads and business partners to develop and own creative direction for events, workshops, and communications materials, ensuring consistency across all channels, including video, photography, digital and printed media, executive meeting presentations, and in-person activations.
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to design relevant, high-impact moments that amplify the voices of leaders and employees, deepen understanding of the enterprise strategy at all levels, and unify a global organization around a shared sense of purpose.
- Support T&O business with visual storytelling and cohesive, high-impact design aligned with the enterprise strategy, increasing employee engagement and improving clarity around business objectives.
- Support the Supply Chain evolution through compelling visual communications for key touchpoints, program launches, and organizational strategy — building trust and strengthening connections between senior leaders, middle leaders, and frontline teams.
- Provide creative direction and inspiration to designers—whether direct reports, cross-functional partners, or freelancers—to produce high-quality mixed-media content that advances enterprise strategy and business objectives, managing all phases of creative development from concept through execution.
- Serve as a trusted creative advisor to leadership and communications partners, providing innovative solutions that elevate communications outcomes, improve employee learning, and foster a culture of ownership within Enterprise Communications.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, strategic alignment, and consistency with brand standards.
- Stay current on industry trends and innovations in design, photography, and videography to continuously raise the creative bar for the team and the function.
- Strong conceptual thinking and storytelling ability, with a proven track record in visual and narrative communication.
- Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to coach designers and improve creative processes.
- Project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects, creative workflows, and vendor relationships.
- Collaborative and detail-oriented, able to work effectively with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
- Skilled in campaign ideation, development, and execution across various mediums (digital, print, video, events).
- Understanding of brand consistency, tone, and visual identity.
- Data-driven approach to communications effectiveness, with the ability to track and report on creative impact.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting ideas to senior stakeholders.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, design trends, and creative tools.
The Person:

- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in a creative role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects, especially in enterprise communications or business storytelling.
- Experience in campaign development across digital and traditional formats.
- Proficiency in design tools and collaboration platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).

The Salary range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements. Please note that salary is only one component of total rewards at Stanley Black & Decker.
