Waitlist: Office Hours Host (B2B)

The Opportunity:

We host office hours for our courses for students to build community, ask questions and learn more about their industry. We are always looking for more mentors who are interested in supporting students in new ways. This role will be for our upcoming 2023 B2B launches. Please use this application for both Office Hours Host for DAC and SDC

Responsibilities:

• Host and facilitate weekly 1 hour Zoom video call sessions to students (The time commitment will be 1 hour/week)
• Facilitate and present on a weekly topic from the curriculum, preparation before each week will be needed
• Provide high quality responses to technical/curricular questions in each office hour where needed
• The OH Host will be expected to be familiar with Springboard support and the curriculum.
• Welcome each group of students with an ice breaker and regularly spark discussion with the students during the session.
• Host four 1-hour sessions per month

Skills:

• You are technical. You take the time to understand the curriculum and can give thoughtful, reliable answers to student’s questions.
• You are reliable. You plan to attend office hours every week and if you need to miss a session, you communicate in advance.
• You are personable and a good communicator. You enjoy interacting with many students in a live setting. You answer questions clearly, prioritize problem solving, and provide a welcoming environment.
• You have a sense of community. You will be one of the support pillars in the student community, so you should be enthusiastic about promoting community and inclusivity.
