Information Security Engineer (India - Night Shift)

The Information Security Engineer (India - Night Shift) is responsible for day to day operations protecting Sphera’s computer systems and networks. This role reports to the Information Security Team Lead at Sphera.

Responsibilities:

• Perform full cycle incident investigation and response
• Assist in maintaining SOC tools, such as SIEM and NGAV/XDR
• Execute information security projects and initiatives, to enhance cybersecurity posture and mitigate risk
• Perform threat hunting and other proactive monitoring
• Automate security processes, tasks, and reports
• Support gathering core information security metrics

Skills Required

• Proficiency in common security tools, such as SIEM, NGAV/XDR, firewalls, and email security
• Ability to perform full cycle incident response
• Advanced understanding of security investigation procedures
• Advanced understanding of core information security concepts, especially endpoint security and network security
• Ability to assess and control for information security risks
• Ability to read and understand application/script code, as well as the ability to develop scripts and perform automation
• Ability to work outside of shift hours to participate in incident response, as required
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to foster a collaborative relationship with colleagues
• Ability to prioritize tasks, projects, and other responsibilities
• Willingness to learn and grow skills

Type of Education Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field
• Hold or willing to obtain industry recognized certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.
