Philippines onlyWe are looking for an Electrical Design Drafter who will be involved in consultation with clients and creating electrical design and automation layouts based on their needs.
Job Details:
- Work from Home
- Monday to Friday | 8 AM to 5 PM (PH Time)
- Following Australian Holidays
- Shutdown towards the end of the year (1 to 2 weeks)
Responsibilities:
- Consult with designer and/or client to discuss their electrical requirements. The client may be the homeowner, building company, designer, or architect.
- Electrical Design and automation layouts as required to meet the needs of the client.
- Follow up with clients as necessary to ensure we have the correct information to conduct the consultation effectively
- Ensure all jobs have been qualified through the home building companies on behalf of the client and answer any questions the builder may have related to the job.
- Produce quotes using the Company’s software – (currently exonet).
- Produce plans using the Company’s drawing software – (currently Microsoft Visio).
- Ensure that the products quoted list and the products identified on the project drawings are the same. That is, that all items are accounted for on both documents. Failure to achieve common information across both documents will result in lost Company profits.
- For all quoting, ensure that plans produced reflect products located appropriately for the most efficient and practical installation outcomes. Also ensure that products are located as directed by the Company via documentation or communication.
- Ensure all communication regarding the project is documented or attached to the job’s history notes.
- Liaise with building companies as necessary for general ‘process’ information. This includes meetings with building companies as required with Brenton Morris.
- Maintain strong Builder/client relationships with frequent communication and follow up, including the provision of appropriate Company documentation.
- Manage relationships with Building Companies, Cooperatives and Associations as assigned by your supervisor.
- Contribute to the evaluation of potential new products, from a performance, price, and aesthetics perspective
- Recommend changes in products and services available from the Company.
- Contribute to projects as directed by your supervisor
- Contribute in a mentoring capacity to the development of level 1 consultants.
- Interact with your team to achieve the sharing of information for the purpose of delivering best practice in all aspects of our Company’s business.
Technical Skills
- Demonstrate the ability to draft Electrical designs.
- Demonstrate the ability to design Lighting and Power layouts – including initial drafting, final job check and variations – including designing of documentation for the electrical installation by a 3rd party.
- Understanding of Australian Building and construction methods
- Attention to detail is critical.
