What makes you a strong candidate:
- You have 7+ years of experience in data visualization and data analysis.
- You are expert in data warehouse, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), SQL, and Microsoft Power BI.
- Spanish - Native or fully fluent.
- English - Conversational.
Responsibilities and more:
The Data Visualization Designer Senior will support the design and implementation of solutions using data visualization tools and/or other emerging automation technologies. Builds user interfaces, visualizations, and data algorithms. Takes complex data and makes it more accessible, understandable and usable for leaders to derive insights and ultimately enable them to make the best business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Consulting with stakeholders using human centered design approaches to understand the need for data products and to identify a potential solution.
- Developing Power BI datasets and dataflows, including the use of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and Power Query Formula Language (M Query).
- Communicating research results to internal and external stakeholders using appropriate data visualization, written, and oral communication.
- Translating customer requirements for data products into technical specifications.
- Developing data structures (datasets, dataflows) for use in Power BI reporting.
- Structuring data and developing measures using M Query and DAX languages.
- Conducting performance testing and tuning to ensure reports run optimally.
- Developing custom reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI.
- Providing direct customer support, including training, in accessing, using, and interpreting Federal HR data.
- Creating training and knowledge sharing resources to educate customer agencies on the value and use of data.
- Conduct user interview sessions by utilizing design thinking methodologies.
- Create user personas for Construction, Sales, Finance, and Customers. Design and develop dashboards for the enterprise users and executives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with data visualization and data analysis.
- Experience with one or more of the following: SQL/PLSQL, ETL, Cognos, R, Python, Tableau, QlikView, Power Bi, Business Objects.
- Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and Power Query Formula Language (M Query).
- Experience integrating with data from Data Warehouse.
- Experience integrating Big Data platforms as a data source for creating data visualizations.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices in performance tuning and user-centric design.
- English level B2+ (Please apply ONLY if you meet this requirement).
